State Associations

NSBMA helps Student Board Members establish state Student Board Member Associations. These State Associations advocate for the advancement of state-specific policies, work with their regional coordinator to refine advocacy for the advancement of student representation, work with the NSBMA team to develop partnerships with state school board associations and other state-specific stakeholders, and develop state specific training resources.

MASR

Massachusetts Association of Student Representatives

MASR brings Annual training workshops, access to handouts, articles, research, and resources such as the Student Representative Handbook. They have access to the largest network of Student Representatives in the Commonwealth, with opportunities to exchange ideas and initatives. They also have coordinated advocacy efforts to support bills at the State House that improve the state of education in Massachusetts.

CSBMA is a student-led organization of school-district student board members from across California that works together to better represent their constituents, allow for statewide youth advocacy, and provide support in the effort to expand student board members across the state. CSBMA believes that students are essential to California school boards, and their unity allows for meaningful representation of student voice in California’s diverse and ever-changing education system. A united front of student board members will cultivate student agency.
